This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application collects, uses, safeguards, and retains information, particularly regarding child safety features. This policy complies with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines, Google Play Developer Policies, GDPR, and COPPA.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our core parental control and safety features, KidsShield collects the following data. All data collection is strictly tied to explicit parental consent and linked directly to the parent's account:

• Location Data: Real-time GPS location and background location for SOS features, Radar mode, and route timeline mapping.
• Device Information: Basic device identifiers required for account pairing, push notifications, and subscription management.
• Media and Audio (User Content): The SOS feature records audio and video during an emergency when explicitly triggered by the child, to provide evidence to trusted contacts.
• Account Data & Contact Info: Email address and your account profile name. We do not collect separate identifiable names or personal accounts for children.

2. How We Use the Information

Data is exclusively used to provide emergency safety services and location tracking to the parent. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third-party advertisers or data brokers. We do not track users across other apps or websites.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

We believe in minimizing data retention:

• SOS Video Evidence: Video files are stored temporarily in our secure cloud buffer. Once successfully delivered to the parent's specified Telegram contacts, the video file is instantly and irrevocably deleted from our cloud storage. If a video cannot be delivered (e.g., due to network issues), it is guaranteed to be automatically deleted after 24 hours.
• Location History: The child's route timeline is stored securely for the parent's review and is automatically deleted from our servers after 24 hours.
• Account Deletion: Parents have full control and can permanently delete their account, location history, and all associated media directly from the "Account" section in the app settings at any time (Account Cascading Deletion).

4. COPPA & Children's Privacy

KidsShield is designed to be set up and managed exclusively by parents. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child without verified parental consent. If we learn that we have collected information from a child without legally valid parental consent, we will delete it immediately.

5. Device Permissions

KidsShield requires standard Android/iOS permissions (Location, Camera, and Microphone) to provide SOS features. We only request these permissions contextually. We do not use invasive Device Administrator or Accessibility Services to lock the device or block other apps.
